Crypto Security, Wallet Safety, and Scam Prevention

Build safer habits for custody, recovery phrases, hardware wallets, transaction signing, phishing, account protection, and incident response.

Security is a process

A hardware wallet or strong password solves only part of the problem. Safe crypto use depends on custody design, recovery backups, device hygiene, transaction verification, and the ability to pause under social pressure.

Protect the authorization path

Private keys, seed phrases, approvals, and signed messages can all authorize value movement. Never share recovery material, and read transaction prompts as carefully as a bank transfer instruction.

Separate roles and balances

Use different wallets for long-term storage, routine payments, and unfamiliar applications. Separation limits the damage from a compromised site or excessive approval.

Prepare for failure

Test backups, document recovery, keep evidence after an incident, and know which official channels can accept reports. A plan written before a crisis is easier to follow than one invented during it.
